Kavitha alleges massive Telangana land scam, questions HYDRAA action

Hyderabad: Telangana land scam allegations took centre stage after Telangana Rakshana Sena president Kalvakuntla Kavitha accused Congress leaders of facilitating large-scale irregularities involving government and private lands across the state.

Addressing a press conference at the Telangana Rakshana Sena office in Banjara Hills, Kavitha alleged that the government was handing over land worth nearly Rs 1 lakh crore to influential individuals.

She claimed that relatives of the Chief Minister, ministers, MPs and MLAs were participating in land-related dealings.

Kavitha said her organisation would release evidence and details of the alleged transactions in phases.

Telangana land scam allegations target HYDRAA enforcement

Kavitha also questioned HYDRAA’s functioning and alleged selective enforcement in land-related cases.

She claimed authorities targeted poor families in some areas while ignoring alleged violations by influential builders.

Referring to a project by Sri Aditya Builders, Kavitha alleged that the company continued construction activity near the Musi river despite objections from her organisation.

She claimed HYDRAA had ignored repeated complaints about the project.

Kavitha also raised concerns over alleged encroachments at Premavathipet Pedda Cheruvu.

She alleged that encroachers had occupied several acres of lake land over the years.

The TRS leader further referred to an alleged encroachment involving a private company in Nagaram municipality limits.

She challenged authorities to act wherever they found violations.

Kavitha said her organisation would pursue legal action and submit documents to support its complaints.

She added that Telangana Rakshana Sena would continue campaigns aimed at protecting the state’s land resources.
