Hyderabad: Defence officials approached HYDRAA seeking immediate intervention to protect Army land allegedly encroached upon in Medchal-Malkajgiri district. An Army Lieutenant Colonel submitted a representation to HYDRAA Commissioner A.V. Ranganath, alleging that unauthorised construction was underway on defence land without approvals.
According to the complaint, the Army land encroachment was taking place on A-1 defence land in GLR Survey No. 507 at Quthbullapur mandal. Lieutenant Colonel Jai Singh alleged that the land had been occupied illegally and that a G+2 building was being constructed on the site.
The representation further stated that the construction did not have the required permissions. Therefore, the Army requested HYDRA to stop the work immediately and protect the defence property from further encroachment.
HYDRAA reviews Army land encroachment complaint
After examining the representation, HYDRAA Commissioner A.V. Ranganath directed officials to conduct a field inspection. He instructed them to verify the alleged Army land encroachment and take appropriate action if the encroachment was confirmed.
HYDRA ACP Umamaheshwar Rao was also present when Lieutenant Colonel Jai Singh met the Commissioner and submitted the memorandum.
