KTR birthday: BRS leaders distribute 50 bicycles to Allen High School students

Hyderabad: Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leaders marked KTR birthday celebrations on Thursday by distributing 50 bicycles to girl students at Allen High School in King Koti under the Gift A Smile initiative.

Former Telangana Foods Chairman Meday Rajeev Sagar distributed the bicycles to students studying in Classes VI to X. The programme was organised to mark the 50th birthday of BRS Working President K.T. Rama Rao.

Meanwhile, former Ministers Talasani Srinivas Yadav and Mahmood Ali attended the event as chief guests. BRS MLC Dasoju Sravan also participated in the programme.

Later, Bishop Vidyasagar and senior pastors of the CSI Ram Koti Church conducted special prayers for K.T. Rama Rao’s health and well-being.

KTR birthday celebrated through Gift A Smile initiative

Speaking on the occasion, Meday Rajeev Sagar said KTR birthday was not confined to celebrations and cake-cutting events. Instead, he said the Gift A Smile initiative reflected K.T. Rama Rao’s vision of bringing smiles to people in need.

He also said the initiative had benefited thousands of people over the past several years. According to him, the programme had continued successfully by extending support to different sections of society.

This year, Rajeev Sagar said distributing 50 bicycles to students of Allen High School was a meaningful way to celebrate K.T. Rama Rao’s 50th birthday. He added that the bicycles would help students travel to school more easily and support their education.

Further, he said K.T. Rama Rao had consistently focused on the welfare of youth, students and ordinary people. Therefore, the organisers continued to conduct service activities inspired by his vision. He further said even a small act of support could transform a student’s life.

Besides Rajeev Sagar, former Corporation Chairpersons Devi Prasad, Errolla Srinivas, Anjaneyulu Goud, M.N. Srinivas Rao, Palle Ravi Kumar Goud, Salman Raj, Leo Louis, Sumitra Anand, Ravulapati Moses, Mantri Sridevi, R.V. Mahender, Gaddam Srinivas Yadav, Arshad, Aruna, Bishop Vidyasagar, Vijay Rakesh, Jimny, Bunny and members of the CSI Ram Koti Church, including Prakash Rao, Peter and Salman, attended the programme.
