Hyderabad: BRS MLC Dasoju Sravan Kumar attacked Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy over his political conduct, public remarks and alleged failure to fulfil promises. The Dasoju Sravan Revanth criticism also covered welfare schemes, land issues and the Chief Minister’s visits to Delhi.
Speaking at Telangana Bhavan on Monday, Sravan questioned the language that Revanth Reddy had used at public meetings.
He alleged that the Chief Minister had repeatedly used abusive language while addressing political opponents. Moreover, Sravan questioned whether such conduct could qualify as acceptable politics.
“Is Revanth Reddy a decent man or a petty individual?” Sravan asked while criticising the Chief Minister’s political behaviour. He also objected to Revanth Reddy’s remarks against former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao.
Dasoju Sravan Revanth criticism targets welfare record
Sravan accused the Congress government of failing to deliver on its commitments after assuming power. In addition, he alleged that the government had stalled welfare programmes such as Kalyana Lakshmi and Shaadi Mubarak.
The BRS MLC also levelled allegations concerning lands in the Chevella and Shabad areas. He claimed the Chief Minister and his associates had targeted lands in those areas. However, the material provided did not contain evidence supporting the land-related allegation.
Sravan also targeted Revanth Reddy over his frequent visits to New Delhi. He alleged that the Chief Minister had made several trips to Delhi carrying money. The BRS leader did not provide supporting evidence for that allegation in the information supplied.
Meanwhile, Sravan questioned what Revanth Reddy had achieved despite claiming that he worked 18 hours each day. Sravan also criticised the Congress government’s approach to social justice.
He mocked its policies by describing them as “Anumula justice,” referring to the Chief Minister’s family name. Furthermore, Sravan linked his criticism of the government to what he described as unfulfilled promises and stalled welfare programmes.
The BRS MLC maintained that Revanth Reddy’s public language and political conduct did not match the responsibilities of the Chief Minister’s office. His remarks formed part of a broader political attack on the Congress government during his interaction at Telangana Bhavan.
