Fire Department cancels Niloufer Cafe building NOC after inspection

Hyderabad: The Fire Services Department has cancelled the Niloufer Cafe NOC issued to a commercial building in Banjara Hills.

Officials detected alleged violations during a recent inspection.

Director General of Fire Services Vikram Singh Mann issued orders on Friday withdrawing the fire safety clearance.

The department launched inspections following a series of recent fire accidents.

Authorities said those incidents resulted in loss of life and property.

As part of the drive, Fire Department teams conducted a surprise inspection at the commercial complex housing Niloufer Cafe.

The building is located on Road No. 12 in Banjara Hills.

Niloufer Cafe NOC revoked over alleged violations

During the inspection, officials identified alleged violations of fire safety norms.

They also found a fully operational restaurant on the fourth floor.

According to officials, the operators were running the facility without obtaining the required permissions.

Further, the inspection team documented the violations.

The team then submitted its findings to senior officials.

Consequently, the department revoked the fire No Objection Certificate issued earlier to the building.

Meanwhile, officials said they would continue inspections across commercial establishments.

They said the exercise aims to improve compliance with fire safety regulations.
