Congress government prioritises minority education, says Shabbir Ali

Hyderabad: Government Adviser Mohammed Ali Shabbir said the Congress government minority education policy placed the highest priority on quality education for minority students. He made the remarks after inaugurating two new minority residential educational institutions in Adilabad.

The Minority Welfare Department built the Minority Gurukul Boys-2 School and the Junior College Residential School. Each institution cost ₹20 crore.

Ministers Jupally Krishna Rao and Mohammed Azharuddin joined Shabbir Ali at the inauguration. Telangana Minorities Residential Educational Institutions Society President Faheem Qureshi, TGMFC Chairman Mohd Obedullah Kothwal, MP Godam Nagesh, MLAs Vedma Bojju and Payal Shankar, MLC Kandi Srinivas Reddy, Minority Welfare Secretary B. Shafiullah and other public representatives also attended.

Shabbir Ali said the government continued to strengthen minority residential institutions. He said the initiative would help students from poor families pursue higher education and contribute to the country’s development.

He said the government now provided modern school buildings, hostels, free education, meals, books and uniforms. Earlier, many minority students lacked access to such educational opportunities.

Moreover, Shabbir Ali described education as the foundation of social development. He urged minority students to complete higher studies. He encouraged them to become doctors, engineers, IAS and IPS officers, scientists and professionals.

Congress government minority education expands opportunities

Shabbir Ali said the government had adopted a focused action plan for minority welfare. It would create more opportunities in education, employment, skill development and self-employment. He also urged minority families to ensure their children completed their education and benefited from government welfare schemes.

Mohammed Azharuddin said the government, under Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, continued to strengthen minority residential institutions across Telangana. He said the initiative ensured equal educational opportunities for students from poor and disadvantaged families.

Jupally Krishna Rao said Gurukul institutions played a vital role in shaping students’ futures. He added that the government remained committed to providing quality education and better residential facilities.

Faheem Qureshi said the society continued to improve academic standards and modern infrastructure. He said the objective was to provide a better learning environment for students.

After the inauguration, the dignitaries inspected classrooms, hostels, the dining hall and other facilities. They also interacted with students before concluding the programme.
