Hyderabad: Minister for Minorities Welfare and Public Enterprises Mohammed Azharuddin launched the Online Beneficiary Management and Monitoring System (OBMMS) for the Telangana Christian Minorities Finance Corporation (TGCMFC), bringing Telangana Christian welfare schemes onto a digital platform and opening online applications for self-employment programmes for eligible Christian Minority beneficiaries.
Following the launch, the minister inaugurated the online application portal at his chamber in the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Telangana Secretariat. The portal covers the Sewing Machine Scheme for Christian Minority women and the Motor Bike, e-Bike, Scooty, e-Scooter and Petty Business schemes.
Addressing the gathering, Mohammed Azharuddin said the Telangana government, under the leadership of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, remained committed to the socio-economic upliftment of Christian Minorities through transparent, technology-driven and citizen-friendly welfare initiatives. Further, he said the self-employment programmes would create sustainable livelihood opportunities, promote entrepreneurship and strengthen the economic independence of Christian Minority women and youth across the state.
Telangana Christian welfare schemes applications open until July 18
Meanwhile, Government Advisor on Minorities Welfare Mohammad Shabbir Ali, Telangana Christian Minorities Finance Corporation Chairman Deepak John, Principal Secretary and Secretary to Government, Minorities Welfare Department, B. Shafiullah, Director of the Minorities Welfare Department Abdul Hameed, TGCMFC Managing Director P. Sabitha, the Hyderabad District Collector and other senior officials attended the programme.
Additionally, eligible applicants from the Christian Minority community can submit online applications for the Telangana Christian welfare schemes through the OBMMS portal from July 3 to July 18 until 5 pm.
For the Sewing Machine and Petty Business schemes, applicants must be between 21 and 55 years of age. Similarly, those applying for the Motor Bike, e-Bike, Scooty and e-Scooter schemes must be between 21 and 50 years.
Besides the age criteria, the annual family income should not exceed Rs. 2 lakh in urban areas and Rs. 1.5 lakh in rural areas. Applicants can also submit forms through tsobmms.cgg.gov.in.
