Hyderabad: Digital health cards for state government employees and pensioners were set for a formal launch on June 2, Telangana Formation Day, after Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao directed officials to take the required steps.
The direction was issued on Friday during a Joint Staff Council meeting held at the Dr B.R. Ambedkar Telangana State Secretariat. The meeting was conducted on the instructions of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy.
Leaders of various employees’ unions raised several issues concerning government staff and pensioners. They discussed the PRC report, health cards, pending bill payments, service matters, employee transfers, GO 317 transfers and other concerns.

Ramakrishna Rao asked senior officials to resolve non-financial issues raised in the meeting as far as possible. He also said efforts were underway to obtain the PRC report at the earliest. The commission was also working actively in that direction.
The Chief Secretary further directed officials to arrange Joint Staff Council meetings at the district and directorate levels across the state.
He advised union leaders to work in line with government orders and public expectations. He also asked them to use modern technology to help address people’s problems.
Special Chief Secretaries Mahesh Dutt Ekka and Savyasachi Ghosh attended the meeting. Finance Principal Secretary Sandeep Kumar Sultania, Education Principal Secretary Dr Yogita Rana and Health, Medical and Family Welfare Principal Secretary Dr Christina Z. Chongthu were also present.
TNGO president Maram Jagadeeshwar, TGO president Eluri Srinivasa Rao and leaders of several employees’ associations also participated.
