Hyderabad: Welfare Minister Adluri Laxman Kumar directed officials to conduct welfare department transfers transparently and without creating disputes or inconvenience for employees.
The minister instructed officials to prioritise employee convenience, equality, and transparency during the transfer process. He reviewed the issue during a meeting held at the Dr B. R. Ambedkar Secretariat on Wednesday.
Senior officials from TGSWREIS, TGTWREIS, Ashram schools, the Scheduled Castes Development Department and the Department for Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities attended the meeting.
The minister asked officials to prioritise employees who served for long periods in remote areas while considering postings.
Welfare department transfers to follow clear guidelines
Adluri Laxman Kumar instructed officials to consider spouse cases and employees facing health problems sympathetically.
He also directed departments to prepare clear transfer guidelines and make them accessible to employees. Further, he asked officials to increase digital processes and reduce human intervention during transfers.
The minister ordered officials to establish a special grievance cell to resolve complaints quickly. He also stressed that authorities should conduct the process without pressure or personal influence.
Adluri Laxman Kumar directed officials to maintain staff balance in Gurukul institutions to avoid affecting teaching standards.
He also suggested special consideration for women employees, differently-abled staff and senior employees during the transfer process.
Officials informed the minister about the difficulties faced by employees due to GO 370 in Gurukul institutions. They also explained implementation issues related to GO 190.
Responding to the concerns, the minister directed officials to study the feasibility of implementing GO 190 comprehensively and ensure that employees do not face injustice.
He said a peaceful and employee-friendly work environment would help improve the quality of education in welfare institutions.
