Social Welfare Gurukulam results released, 18,401 students selected

Hyderabad: Social Welfare Minister Adluri Laxman Kumar released the Social Welfare Gurukulam results on Friday and announced that 18,401 students secured admission in the first phase of Intermediate admissions.

The minister unveiled the results of the Social Welfare Gurukulam Junior College Entrance Test (JCSET) at the State Secretariat.

The state offers 19,740 seats in 229 Social Welfare Gurukulam Junior Colleges. Students can choose MPC, BiPC, MEC, CEC, HEC and vocational courses.

Officials received 45,357 applications for first-year Intermediate admissions. Out of them, 39,052 students appeared for the JCSET examination on May 15.

Meanwhile, Adluri Laxman Kumar urged selected students to complete admissions before June 7.

Social Welfare Gurukulam results reflect rising confidence

The minister said the strong response reflected growing confidence in the Gurukulam education system.

He noted that students and parents across Telangana continue to place their trust in these institutions. Therefore, he directed officials to preserve and strengthen that confidence.

Moreover, he instructed authorities to closely monitor all Gurukulam colleges. He also asked them to maintain high standards in education and student welfare.

According to the minister, effective supervision will help sustain the reputation of the institutions.

Social Welfare Gurukulam results released amid food safety focus

The minister also addressed recent food poisoning incidents reported in welfare institutions.

He said the government had already introduced corrective measures. As a result, officials expect better monitoring of food quality and safety.

Furthermore, he assured that authorities would take strict action against those responsible for earlier lapses.

The minister said the government remains committed to student welfare. In addition, it will continue efforts to provide a safe and secure environment in all Gurukulam institutions across Telangana.
