Cyberabad street safety workshop brings civic agencies together

Hyderabad: Civic agencies and police officials on Thursday joined hands to strengthen Cyberabad street safety through a capacity-building workshop focused on road design, mobility and public infrastructure.

Cyberabad Municipal Corporation Commissioner G. Srijana attended the “Creating Safer Streets for All in Cyberabad” workshop organised by the Cyberabad Police at the Novotel Hyderabad Convention Centre.

Cyberabad Police Commissioner Dr. M. Ramesh participated in the programme along with senior police officials, traffic authorities, zonal commissioners, department heads, deputy commissioners and engineering officers of the Cyberabad Municipal Corporation.

The workshop brought together urban planners, engineers, civic administrators and traffic management agencies. Participants discussed measures to create safer, more accessible and inclusive streets across Cyberabad.

Cyberabad street safety discussions focus on mobility

The discussions covered safer street design, pedestrian facilities, junction improvements, speed management and people-friendly public spaces.

Experts and officials exchanged ideas on improving safety for pedestrians, cyclists, commuters and other road users. Interactive sessions also highlighted practical solutions and best practices for enhancing urban mobility.

Participants stressed the need to combine urban planning, engineering solutions, traffic management and enforcement measures. They said coordinated action could improve mobility and strengthen road safety across the city.

The workshop provided a platform for knowledge sharing and capacity building among civic agencies, planners, engineers and law enforcement authorities.

Participants shared experiences on adopting sustainable and inclusive urban design principles. They also discussed ways to address mobility challenges in rapidly growing urban areas.

Commissioner G. Srijana said collaborative initiatives help strengthen institutional capacity and encourage coordinated action among stakeholder departments.

She reiterated the commitment of the Cyberabad Municipal Corporation to support programmes that promote road safety, inclusive mobility, improved public infrastructure and sustainable urban development.
