KTR to lead BRS bus yatra from Medigadda over farmers’ issues

Hyderabad: BRS working president KTR will lead a two-day bus yatra between November 11 and 14. Former minister and Karimnagar MLA Gangula Kamalakar announced the programme.

The KTR bus yatra will begin at Medigadda. From there, it will cover major irrigation projects along the Godavari river basin. During the tour, the party will highlight their condition and benefits. It will also draw attention to problems faced by farmers.

The announcement followed a meeting at Swetha Hotel in Karimnagar on Sunday evening. Gangula Kamalakar chaired the meeting. Former ministers, MPs, MLAs, MLCs and senior party leaders from the undivided Karimnagar district attended.

At the meeting, leaders discussed preparations for Deeksha Divas and the proposed bus yatra. They also reviewed programmes on farmers’ issues and arrangements for a large public meeting.

The BRS planned these events to mark KCR’s arrest at Alugunur on November 29, 2009. At the time, KCR was leading the Telangana statehood movement. Accordingly, the party observes November 29 as Deeksha Divas.
