Hyderabad: Union Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Friday urged BJP cadres to make the Modi Parade Grounds meeting on May 10 a grand success.
He addressed reporters during a BJP bike rally held at RTC Cross Roads in Hyderabad.
Rajya Sabha MP K. Laxman also participated in the bike rally. Both leaders led the procession on motorcycles.
Bandi Sanjay said Telangana’s development was progressing mainly through Central government funding. He alleged that the State could not move forward without support from the Centre.
The Union Minister also accused Congress leaders of diverting Telangana funds to sustain the party high command in Delhi.
Modi Parade Grounds meeting to showcase BJP strength
Meanwhile, Bandi Sanjay said only a “Double Engine government” could accelerate Telangana’s development. He added that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit aimed to seek the blessings of people in the State.
“The Parade Grounds meeting will reverberate with slogans of ‘Jai Shri Ram’ and ‘Jai Telangana’,” he said.
The Union Minister also launched an attack on BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao. He accused the BRS leadership of corruption and arrogance.
Bandi Sanjay linked the party to controversies surrounding the Kaleshwaram project, Formula-E race case and alleged drug-related incidents.
He claimed that KTR’s behaviour had alienated even BRS workers. He also asserted that the BJP would emerge as the future ruling force in Telangana.
