Revanth Reddy releases final Rythu Bharosa instalment to farmers

Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy released the final Rythu Bharosa instalment of ₹1,009.15 crore to 1.44 lakh farmers, completing the transfer of ₹9,000 crore to 73.30 lakh farmers over nine days. He also launched the distribution of e-pattadar passbooks during the Rythu Ashirvada Sabha in Jagannathapuram village of Khammam district.

Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister said the happiness of farmers remained the biggest blessing for the government. Meanwhile, he said the administration aimed to make agriculture a celebration rather than a burden.

He said the government had spent ₹1.70 lakh crore on the agriculture sector over the past 30 months. According to him, the investment reflected the government’s commitment to improving farmers’ welfare.

Rythu Bharosa payments completed in nine days

Revanth Reddy said the government had deposited ₹36,135 crore into farmers’ accounts under Rythu Bharosa during the last 30 months. Further, he said the state had also provided loan waivers, crop insurance, remunerative prices, bonuses for fine paddy, free electricity and compensation for crop losses.

The Chief Minister said the state inherited liabilities of ₹8.11 lakh crore when the government assumed office. Even so, he said the administration had continued existing welfare schemes while introducing new initiatives.

He said the government had increased Rythu Bharosa assistance to ₹12,000 per acre. Additionally, it had procured paddy worth ₹80,000 crore during the past 30 months.

Revanth Reddy said the government had also issued ration cards to eligible beneficiaries, supplied fine rice, sanctioned seven lakh Indiramma houses, provided free electricity up to 200 units, supplied LPG cylinders at ₹500 and offered free RTC travel for women. He added that the government had extended bank-linked loans worth ₹60,000 crore to women’s self-help groups and distributed Indiramma sarees.

The Chief Minister also highlighted the recruitment of 67,717 government employees within the first year of the government’s tenure. He said Assembly elections were expected in May or June 2029 and projected an increase in Telangana’s Lok Sabha seats from 17 to 26 and Assembly constituencies from 119 to 182.

Finally, the government released ₹3,504 crore for maize farmers. Revanth Reddy also handed over e-pattadar passbooks to selected beneficiaries and formally launched their statewide distribution.
