Hyderabad: Hyderabad Traffic Police announced Milad-un-Nabi traffic diversions across the city from 10 am to 11 pm on August 26 in connection with peace processions. The traffic restrictions would cover routes used by five main processions marking the birth anniversary of Prophet Mohammed.
Police advised commuters to avoid the procession routes during the 13-hour traffic regulation period. Motorists were asked to use alternative roads to reach their destinations and prevent congestion along the notified routes.
The first main procession would start from Falaknuma and proceed to Volta Hotel via Charminar. Another procession would begin at Yahya Pasha Dargah, proceed to Volta Hotel and return along its designated route.
Milad-un-Nabi traffic diversions cover Mecca Masjid routes
Two of the main processions would originate from Mecca Masjid. One procession would proceed from Mecca Masjid to Haj House in Nampally. Meanwhile, another procession would travel from Mecca Masjid towards Volta Hotel.
The fifth main procession would proceed from Pattargatti to Alijah Kotla. Consequently, traffic movement could face restrictions along roads connected with these procession routes.
Police asked commuters to plan their journeys in advance and choose alternative routes between 10 am and 11 pm. The Milad-un-Nabi traffic diversions would remain in place while the peace processions moved through the designated areas.
Hyderabad Traffic Police seeks public cooperation
Traffic Police personnel would be deployed along the procession routes to regulate vehicles and implement diversions. Citizens were asked to cooperate with officers deployed at affected locations.
Moreover, motorists were advised to follow traffic instructions and diversion arrangements during the processions. Police said commuters should avoid the notified routes wherever possible to reduce congestion and delays.
