Hyderabad: Telangana Minister and senior Congress leader Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy accused BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) of politicising the death of Peddi Sudarshan Reddy for political gain.
In a post on X on Monday, Ponguleti alleged that KTR ignored the former MLA while he was alive. However, he claimed KTR was now trying to gain political mileage from his death. He also referred to the BRS leader as “Mr Drama Rao.”
Ponguleti alleged that the BRS government remained in power for 10 years but did not make the late leader a minister. He questioned why the party did not nominate him to the Rajya Sabha or Legislative Council after he lost an Assembly election.

The Minister also questioned why the BRS leadership gave positions to leaders such as Santosh Rao and Damodar Rao while overlooking the former MLA.
Ponguleti said the Congress government arranged a green corridor to shift him from Warangal to Hyderabad for medical treatment. Further, he said the government honoured the late leader with official police honours during his funeral.
He alleged that the BRS used Telangana movement leaders only for electoral gains. According to him, members of the Kalvakuntla family alone enjoyed positions of power and authority.
Ponguleti also accused the BRS of exploiting deaths for political benefit. He expressed confidence that the people of Telangana would deliver a fitting response to the party in the coming days.
