Hyderabad: BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao attacked Rahul Gandhi’s Telangana politics, accusing the Congress leader of hypocrisy over the Constitution and defections. He also levelled allegations concerning corruption and the electoral process in the state.
In a post on X, KTR targeted Gandhi over his political ambitions and the Congress government in Telangana. He said Gandhi aspired to become Prime Minister but was “acting like a coward, a bully and an undemocratic human.”
KTR alleged that Gandhi spoke about protecting the Constitution while allowing what he described as undemocratic practices in Telangana. He accused Gandhi of “running anarchy in Telangana through his puppet Revanth Reddy” and encouraging political defections. The BRS leader also referred to Gandhi’s campaign against alleged “vote chori.” KTR accused him of making Telangana’s “biggest vote-chor” the Chief Minister.
Rahul Gandhi’s Telangana politics targeted over BRS leader’s arrest
KTR also linked his criticism of Rahul Gandhi’s Telangana politics to the arrest of BRS leader Krishank Manne. He alleged that authorities arrested Krishank after he questioned the Anumula family over alleged corruption.
According to KTR, Krishank had raised the allegations with evidence. However, the source statement did not provide further details about the allegations or the circumstances surrounding his arrest. “Rein in your puppet, Rahul. Stop making a mockery of the Indian Constitution,” KTR said.
His remarks combined criticism of Gandhi with allegations against the Congress government in Telangana. KTR focused particularly on defections, constitutional principles, alleged electoral wrongdoing and Krishank’s arrest.
The BRS working president accused Gandhi of taking contradictory positions on democratic and constitutional issues. He argued that Gandhi’s public campaign on those issues differed from the political situation in Telangana.
KTR’s criticism of Rahul Gandhi’s Telangana politics also centred on Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. He alleged that Gandhi was responsible for the political conduct he attributed to the Congress government in the state.
