Hyderabad: Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla and his wife Janaki Shukla offered Governor Bonalu prayers at the Sri Ujjaini Mahakali Temple in Secunderabad on Monday as part of the Ashada Bonalu festival.
The Governor and his wife offered Bonam and Pattu Vastralu to Goddess Sri Ujjaini Mahakali. Thereafter, they performed special prayers seeking the Goddess’s blessings for the welfare of the people.
Shiv Pratap Shukla prayed for peace, good health, happiness and prosperity for every family in Telangana. He also sought timely and abundant rainfall, a bountiful harvest and the well-being of the farming community.
Governor Bonalu prayers seek Telangana’s prosperity
The Governor further prayed for lasting peace, communal harmony and the all-round development of Telangana.
Temple priests received the Governor and Janaki Shukla with traditional honours amid Vedic chanting. Later, they performed the customary rituals, blessed the couple and presented them with Theertha Prasadam.
