Hyderabad: BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) questioned the Centre over the alleged Singareni coal stock discrepancy and asked why it had remained silent on the issue.
KTR raised the matter after visiting former MLA Balka Suman at Chanchalguda Jail on Thursday. Former ministers Talasani Srinivas Yadav and Sudheer Reddy accompanied him.
According to KTR, the state government had shown 40 lakh metric tonnes of coal stock that did not exist. He therefore questioned why the Centre had not responded to the issue.

Meanwhile, KTR also asked why Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy had not reacted to the alleged irregularities in Singareni.
He further questioned the silence of BJP leaders on the matter. In addition, he said he would write to Union Coal and Mines Minister G. Kishan Reddy seeking intervention.
Meanwhile, police transferred a case registered against former MLA Balka Suman from Nampally Police Station to Banjara Hills Police Station.
The case stems from remarks Balka Suman allegedly made during a meeting held at Telangana Bhavan on May 26.
Subsequently, Nampally police registered a case following a complaint lodged by Singareni junior assistant Anand.
However, KTR said the arrest of Balka Suman would not deter BRS leaders and workers from raising public issues.
He asserted that the party would continue to question what it described as irregularities and injustice. Furthermore, he said BRS leaders would continue their protests despite legal action against party members.
