Hyderabad: Illegal firearms seized during a joint operation by the Commissioner’s Task Force, Jubilee Hills Zone, and Mailardevpally Police led to the arrest of two alleged interstate offenders on Thursday. Police said the suspects were allegedly preparing to commit serious offences using the recovered weapons.
The accused were identified as Mudassir Hussain alias Shah Baba and Ameer Khan. They were intercepted while travelling in a Baleno car near Mehfil Hotel in Mailardevpally.
Police seized two country-made pistols, seven live bullets, three mobile phones and the car. The total value of the seized property was estimated at around Rs.5 lakh.

Investigators suspected the duo was planning to carry out a robbery or other serious offences using the illegal weapons. Officials also said both accused had previous criminal cases registered against them in different states. However, police did not disclose further details about those cases.
The operation was carried out by Inspector Ch. Yadander of the Jubilee Hills Zone Task Force, Sub-Inspector Mohd Jahed, personnel of the Commissioner’s Task Force, Jubilee Hills Team, and the Mailardevpally Police. Further investigation is underway.
