Hyderabad: Saifabad Police and Nirmala High School organised an anti-drug awareness rally in Chintal Basti on Thursday. Around 150 students, police personnel and teachers marched through the locality. They raised anti-drug slogans and educated residents about the harmful effects of substance abuse.
Addressing the participants, Saifabad Police Station House Officer A. Seethaiah urged the community to remain vigilant against drug-related activities. He said young people and educational institutions played a vital role in building a drug-free society. He also asked citizens to report any information about the sale or use of drugs without delay.

The awareness rally supported the city’s ongoing campaign to build a drug-free society. It encouraged public participation and youth involvement in the fight against substance abuse.
Nirmala High School Principal Lakshmi, teachers and students coordinated the programme with the police. Organisers said the rally aimed to spread awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuse on individuals, families and society. They added that continued public participation would help prevent substance abuse.
