Hyderabad: BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao warned Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy that his political “climax” would be worse than Hitler’s. He made the remark while addressing the BRS Yuva Sangrama meeting at Saroornagar.
During the meeting, KTR attacked Congress over employment promises, alleged corruption and its treatment of unemployed youth. He claimed that Telangana had witnessed “lootification” instead of job notifications under the Congress government.
KTR accused Congress leaders of abandoning their jobs calendar and filling their own pockets. He also alleged that the government had replaced a promised employment drive with a series of scams.
He asked whether Congress had fulfilled even one major promise made to Telangana’s youth. Moreover, he challenged the government to prove that it had provided 70,000 jobs.
KTR said the government should produce the relevant recruitment notifications as evidence. He declared that he would permanently quit politics and praise Rahul Gandhi if Congress proved its claim.
The BRS leader said the meeting aimed to remind people about what he called Congress’ betrayal. He added that young people had gathered to sound a political warning against the government.
KTR attacks Congress over recruitment claims
KTR described the Congress manifesto as one of the biggest political deceptions. He alleged that police had assaulted young people when they demanded jobs.
Referring to protests by police job aspirants, he asked whether the government expected them to consume pesticide and die. He also accused Revanth Reddy of becoming highly skilled at winning trust and later betraying people.
KTR told the gathering that the political situation would change from that point. He said the government had faced one kind of opposition earlier and would now face a stronger campaign.
He also criticised Rahul Gandhi’s earlier visit to Ashok Nagar. According to KTR, Gandhi had made false promises to unemployed youth during that visit.
KTR said Rahul Gandhi did not understand Telugu or the problems faced by Telangana’s job aspirants. He asked whether Gandhi remembered his remarks at Ashok Nagar.
The BRS leader alleged that Congress had promised two lakh jobs within its first year but failed to deliver. Meanwhile, he claimed that anger and hunger for employment had intensified among young people.
He said the youth had resolved to politically defeat Congress. Furthermore, he warned Revanth Reddy that people would not forget what he described as humiliation and ridicule.
KTR attacks Congress over alleged credit claims
KTR accused Revanth Reddy of taking credit for recruitment notifications issued during the previous K. Chandrashekar Rao government. He alleged that the Congress government had only distributed appointment letters for those earlier recruitments.
According to him, the Chief Minister and ministers had made conflicting statements about employment figures. He said their changing claims had created confusion among job seekers.
KTR also alleged widespread exploitation involving land, fly ash and sand. He again used the term “lootification” to describe the alleged activities.
The BRS leader said Congress leaders had responded mockingly when people questioned them about election promises. However, he maintained that citizens and young people would remember those insults.
He also accused the government of misleading the unemployed after securing their support during the Assembly elections. Therefore, he said the BRS would intensify its political campaign on youth and employment issues.
KTR said the Saroornagar gathering marked the beginning of a stronger phase of opposition. He maintained that young people would challenge Congress over unfulfilled promises, recruitment claims and alleged corruption.
