Revanth Reddy hails Vikram-1 test flight as Telangana milestone

Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy congratulated Skyroot Aerospace after the successful Vikram-1 test flight. He described the achievement as a historic moment for India’s space sector and a matter of pride for Telangana.

The Hyderabad-based space technology company developed the orbital-class launch vehicle using indigenous technology. Skyroot conducted the test under its Mission Agaman programme.

Revanth Reddy said the successful flight demonstrated India’s growing capabilities in space technology. Moreover, he praised the young scientists and engineers who contributed to the mission.

The Chief Minister recalled his visit to Skyroot’s Max-Q campus in April. The facility is located at the GMR Aerospace Park in Shamshabad.

During the visit, he had formally launched the movement of Vikram-1 flight hardware to Sriharikota. Therefore, he said the successful mission held special significance for Telangana.

Revanth Reddy said the Vikram-1 test flight marked an important milestone in Telangana’s aerospace journey. He added that the achievement highlighted Hyderabad’s growing role in India’s private space industry.

According to the Chief Minister, Skyroot’s success showcased the talent of Indian scientists and engineers before the world. It also reflected the country’s progress in advanced space technologies.

He said Telangana had emerged as a suitable destination for aerospace innovation and advanced manufacturing. Furthermore, the achievement supported the state’s goal of becoming a global aerospace and space technology hub.

The Chief Minister said successful companies such as Skyroot could attract more investments to Telangana. In addition, their achievements could create new opportunities in research, engineering and advanced manufacturing.

He also hoped that the Vikram-1 test flight would increase interest in science and technology among young people. Such achievements, he said, could inspire future innovators and entrepreneurs.

Revanth Reddy maintained that Hyderabad-based startups were strengthening Telangana’s position in emerging technology sectors. He said Skyroot’s achievement had added another major milestone to the state’s innovation ecosystem.

The Chief Minister extended his congratulations to the company’s scientists, engineers and entire team. He said their work had brought recognition to Telangana and contributed to India’s space technology advancement.
