Hyderabad: Union Minister for Coal and Mines G. Kishan Reddy said the Ministry of Railways had approved new train services to improve rail connectivity in Telangana.
He also said the Railway Ministry regularised several express services connecting the State with important destinations across the country.
The new train services will improve access to Tirupati, Okha, Bengaluru, Bidar, Kalaburagi, and Belagavi. In addition, the services will connect several important stations in Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Maharashtra, and Gujarat.
Kishan Reddy said the weekly services would improve passenger convenience and strengthen interstate rail connectivity for Telangana travellers.
Meanwhile, the Union Minister thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw for supporting railway infrastructure development in Telangana.
He said the approvals marked another major step towards improving connectivity and expanding travel facilities in the State.
New train services to strengthen interstate connectivity
The Union Minister said the Railway Ministry continued to focus on expanding transport infrastructure across Telangana.
He added that the newly approved services would improve access to important pilgrimage, business, and regional destinations.
At the same time, Kishan Reddy said the new train services would benefit passengers travelling between Telangana and neighbouring States.
The Ministry of Railways also regularised several express services operating through Telangana as part of the latest approvals.
