Revanth Reddy, Mahesh Kumar Goud greet youth on Indian Youth Congress Foundation Day

Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and TPCC president Mahesh Kumar Goud greeted the youth on the Foundation Day of the Indian Youth Congress.

In his message, Revanth Reddy extended greetings to the youth across the country. He said young people were not only future leaders but also a force shaping India in the present.

“On the Foundation Day of the Indian Youth Congress, my heartfelt greetings to the youth of India. Our youth are not just the leaders of tomorrow—they are the force shaping India today,” the Chief Minister said.

Revanth Reddy called for collective efforts to protect the Constitution and strengthen democracy. He also urged the youth to work for justice, equality and opportunities for all.

“Let us unite to defend our Constitution, strengthen democracy, and fight for justice, equality and opportunity for all. Together, let us build a stronger, inclusive and progressive India,” he added.

Mahesh Kumar Goud also extended greetings to the leaders and dedicated workers of the Indian Youth Congress. He said the organisation had helped nurture young leadership and strengthen the party at the grassroots.

Goud said the Youth Congress had inspired generations of young people to contribute to public service and nation-building. He urged its members to remain committed to the ideals of the Indian National Congress.

“Let us reaffirm our commitment to the ideals of the Indian National Congress and continue empowering the youth to lead with courage, responsibility and dedication. My best wishes to the entire Youth Congress family,” he said.

At a programme held at Gandhi Bhavan, the state Congress headquarters, Goud hoisted the Youth Congress flag. He also conveyed his Foundation Day greetings to the organisation.

Transport and Backward Classes Welfare Minister Ponnam Prabhakar also extended his greetings. He addressed the Youth Congress leaders, youth and students on the occasion.

“Youth Congress Founding Day greetings to the leaders, youth, and students representing the Indian Youth Congress, the world’s largest democratic youth organisation,” Prabhakar said.

Meanwhile, the TPCC organised a separate programme at Gandhi Bhavan to mark Quit India Day. Cabinet ministers D. Sridhar Babu, Ponnam Prabhakar, Konda Surekha, Vakati Srihari and Mohammed Azharuddin attended the event along with Mahesh Kumar Goud.

The Congress leaders later visited a special exhibition organised under the Gandhi Trust. They also went around a book exhibition and a display of Mahatma Gandhi statues.

The leaders paid their respects to the life and legacy of Mahatma Gandhi during their visit.
