Hyderabad: Police arrested two alleged inter-state drug peddlers near Kachiguda Railway Station and seized 21.2 kg of ganja and one litre of hash oil worth about Rs 23 lakh. The Commissioner’s Task Force, Secunderabad Zone, conducted the operation jointly with Kachiguda police near the railway station’s parcel office.
Police identified the accused as Pangi Satish Kumar, 29, from Alluri Sitarama Raju district in Andhra Pradesh and Pangi Ganesh, 29, from Koraput district in Odisha. The two accused were cousins, police said. They had allegedly brought the contraband to Hyderabad with plans to sell it to customers and make quick money.
During the Hyderabad drug seizure, police found two gunny bags in their possession. The bags contained 18 packets of ganja along with the hash oil.

During questioning, the two accused allegedly told police that they had procured the narcotics from a person identified as Loknath from Odisha. Police said Loknath was absconding. The information emerged after officers questioned the two men following their arrest near the parcel office.
The seized contraband comprised 21.2 kg of ganja and one litre of hash oil. Police estimated the combined value of the narcotics at around Rs 23 lakh. The operation involved personnel from both the Secunderabad Zone Task Force and Kachiguda police.
Task Force DCP Gaikwad Vaibhav Raghunath supervised the operation. J. Rajashekar, Inspector of Police, Secunderabad Zone Task Force, also participated in the action. S. Rajashekar, Inspector of Police, Kachiguda Police Station, was involved in the operation. B. Mahesh, Sub-Inspector with the Secunderabad Zone Task Force, also took part.

The Hyderabad drug seizure resulted in the recovery of both forms of contraband and the arrest of the two alleged peddlers. Meanwhile, the person identified by the accused as their alleged supplier remained absconding.
