Hash oil smuggling network used inter-state routes for supply

Explaining the case, Police Commissioner Sunpreet Singh said the accused cultivated ganja plants and converted them into hash oil using special equipment.

He said the main accused developed contacts with the absconding accused, who guided the extraction process. As a result, the gang produced about 40 kg of hash oil. The absconding accused took 20 kg, while the others kept the remaining quantity.

The group then packed the remaining 20 kg into smaller packets and planned to sell it in Mumbai. Accordingly, they started from Tuni railway station on the Konark Express on the night of the 19th.

However, suspecting police checks at Warangal railway station, the group got down midway. Later, they moved near the railway goods shed at the Warangal bus stand area. Acting on a tip-off, police teams reached the spot and detained the suspects. Subsequently, they seized 20 kg of hash oil along with two mobile phones.

Senior officers, including Central Zone DCP Dara Kavitha and other officials, supervised the operation. The Police Commissioner also praised the teams for detecting the racket and arresting the accused.
