Electricity artisans call off strike after talks with Bhatti

Hyderabad: Electricity artisans called off their strike after holding talks with Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu.

Leaders of the Electricity Artisans JAC met the Deputy Chief Minister at Praja Bhavan in Hyderabad. After the meeting, JAC chairman Satish Reddy announced the withdrawal of the strike with immediate effect.

JAC convenor Sailu thanked the Deputy CM for responding positively. He said the government permitted discussions with higher officials on their concerns.

Electricity artisans strike withdrawn after government assurance

Bhatti Vikramarka said employees should work in a way that earns public trust. He added that launching a sudden strike during peak summer demand was not appropriate.

However, he emphasised that dialogue can resolve issues. He assured that the government will examine the artisans’ concerns on humanitarian grounds.

The Deputy CM also said the government remains open to discussions with electricity unions. He reiterated its commitment to resolving their issues.

He added that TRANSCO CMD Krishna Bhaskar will hold further talks with the JAC. These discussions will focus on issues that do not involve financial burden.

MLC A. Dayakar, JAC leaders Chandareddy, Sridhar Goud, Chander Singh Thakur, Santosh and Prashanth attended the meeting.
