Hyderabad Traffic Police issue summer vehicle safety advisory

Hyderabad: Hyderabad Traffic Police issued a vehicle safety advisory, warning motorists about risks during the summer season.

Officials said rising temperatures can lead to vehicle breakdowns and fire hazards. Therefore, they urged drivers to take precautionary measures to keep vehicles road-ready.

They advised motorists to regularly check tyre condition and maintain proper pressure. In addition, they stressed the need to monitor coolant levels and engine oil.

Police also asked drivers to inspect battery condition and wiring systems. Moreover, they warned against overloading vehicles, which can increase the risk of overheating.

They advised avoiding long parking hours under direct sunlight. Further, they recommended keeping a fire extinguisher inside vehicles as a precaution.

Officials said periodic servicing can help prevent unexpected breakdowns. Meanwhile, they urged drivers to remain alert during long journeys.

In case of overheating, police advised motorists to switch off the engine immediately. They also asked drivers to move the vehicle to a safe location to avoid further damage.
