CM Revanth Reddy outlines Bharat Future City plans

Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy said the government would develop Bharat Future City on par with global cities.

He made the announcement after laying the foundation stone for the Future City Police Commissionerate on Tuesday. The project marks a major urban development initiative in Telangana.

Revanth Reddy said Bharat Future City would match Singapore, Tokyo and New York. He also assured farmers of fair compensation for acquired lands.

He said the government would protect farmers’ interests and support affected families. Moreover, he added that no one would suffer due to land acquisition.

Bharat Future City to drive growth and investments

Revanth Reddy said the Future City Development Corporation office would open by June 2. He added that the government would hold regular reviews and invite investments.

Meanwhile, some residents sought inclusion of their villages in Bharat Future City limits. He directed officials to conduct gram sabhas and decide based on public opinion.

Further, the Chief Minister asked officials to address concerns of poor and underprivileged groups. He said Industry Minister D Sridhar Babu would remain available to resolve grievances.

He urged the public to support the Bharat Future City initiative. In addition, he recalled that the Outer Ring Road had faced opposition earlier but later proved its value.

At the same time, Revanth Reddy criticised BRS leaders for opposing the project. He alleged that misinformation was being spread to stall development.

However, he said remarks made under the influence of alcohol should not be taken seriously. He also used mythological references while criticising opposition leaders.

Revanth Reddy said Bharat Future City would emerge as a global investment hub. He noted that three bullet train proposals linked to Hyderabad had received clearance.

The routes include Bengaluru to Hyderabad, Shamshabad to Pune and Shamshabad to Amaravati–Chennai. These projects, he said, would boost growth in Rangareddy district.

Finally, he appealed to Maoists to surrender and join the mainstream. He said the government would provide rehabilitation, healthcare and security support.
