Hyderabad: Irrigation and Civil Supplies Minister Capt N Uttam Kumar Reddy on Wednesday said the Congress government in Telangana is committed to turning big dreams into tangible results. Addressing the Praja Palana Dinothsavam celebrations at the Ranga Reddy Collectorate, he asserted that the government’s early performance proved it prioritises delivery over delay.
“Telangana itself was a dream realised through struggle. In the same way, every promise we’ve made will become a reality,” he said. The minister noted that the Congress administration, led by Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, began implementing its key guarantees within 48 hours of assuming office.

In Ranga Reddy district alone, the scale of implementation was significant:

“These are not promises on paper. Every figure represents real relief to families, farmers, and workers,” Uttam said.
Bharat Future City and radial roads to redefine Ranga Reddy
Outlining the state’s long-term vision, he announced the Bharat Future City, a ₹4,000 crore mega project on 30,000 acres. This hub will include AI City, Pharma City, and Life Sciences clusters. A dedicated Future City Development Authority is overseeing the project.
Additionally, a 41.5-km radial road corridor will connect Ravirala ORR to Amangal via the RRR. This 300-ft corridor will improve industrial and logistics access across the Hyderabad region.

Musi Riverfront and per capita GDP milestone
The Minister also focused on the Musi Riverfront Development Project, involving ecological clean-up, 50-metre buffer zones, check dams, and leisure zones. “This is both an environmental and cultural revival,” he said.
Uttam revealed that Ranga Reddy tops India in per capita GDP, according to the Economic Survey 2024–25:
- Ranga Reddy – ₹11.46 lakh
- Gurgaon – ₹9.05 lakh
- Bengaluru Urban – ₹8.93 lakh
- Noida – ₹8.48 lakh
- Mumbai – ₹6.57 lakh
“This growth reflects our push in tech, pharma, infrastructure, and services. Bharat Future City will only accelerate this lead,” he said.
Honouring Telangana’s legacy of struggle
Linking the day to Telangana’s history, Uttam recalled the sacrifices made during Hyderabad’s merger with India in 1948, the 1969 agitation, and the second phase of the Telangana movement from 2011 to 2014.
“Telangana’s foundation is built on sacrifice. It is our duty to honour that legacy by realising people’s dreams with integrity and speed,” he concluded.
The event saw flag hoisting and attendance from key officials including Malla Reddy Ram Reddy, District Collector Narayana Reddy, DCP Sunitha Reddy, and others.
