Hyderabad: District In-charge Minister Seethakka urged officials to ensure drinking water supply in every village of Kamareddy district.
She made the statement at a review meeting held at the Collector’s office in Kamareddy town on Tuesday. Government Advisor Mohammed Ali Shabbir, Zaheerabad MP Suresh Shetkar, Collector Ashish Sangwan, officials and public representatives attended the meeting.
The meeting reviewed drinking water supply, irrigation, civil supplies, Indiramma housing, heatwave prevention and implementation of 99 welfare and development schemes.
Drinking water supply focus in Kamareddy review
Seethakka asked officials to work towards making Kamareddy a model district in the State. She directed the Health Department to remain alert due to rising temperatures. She also instructed officials to take measures to protect public health.
She told officials to ensure uninterrupted drinking water supply to all villages. She also asked them to meet irrigation needs on time. In addition, she directed officials to speed up Indiramma housing works.
She said benefits should reach all eligible beneficiaries without delay. She also stressed coordination among departments for effective implementation of welfare schemes.
Mohammed Ali Shabbir said the State government had given special focus to Kamareddy district’s development. He said the district could secure first position if all departments worked together.
He urged officials to avoid lapses in the civil supplies system. He also asked them to ensure quality commodities reached the poor.
Shabbir Ali directed officials to take advance steps to prevent drinking water problems. He also asked them to conduct awareness programmes at the village level to prevent heatstroke.
Suresh Shetkar said coordinated implementation of Central and State schemes would ensure comprehensive development. He said drinking water and irrigation projects would provide relief to farmers.
He stressed strict monitoring for speedy completion of Indiramma housing works. He also urged officials to respond quickly to public grievances.
Collector Ashish Sangwan, officials and public representatives shared their views. They resolved to work in coordination for the district’s development.
