Seethakka, Shabbir Ali attend child safety awareness in Kamareddy

Hyderabad: District In-charge Minister Seethakka and Government Advisor Mohammed Ali Shabbir attended a child safety awareness programme in Kamareddy district.

The programme was conducted as part of the 99-day Praja Palana–Pragati Pranalika initiative. Officials, public representatives, students and members of the public participated.

The event focused on child safety awareness, including prevention of drug abuse, child marriages and teenage pregnancies. It also covered protection of missing children.

Child safety awareness drive highlights protection measures

Authorities created awareness on staying away from drugs and eliminating child marriages. They also highlighted the need to prevent teenage pregnancies and protect vulnerable children.

Certificates were distributed to children in a child care institution. Bicycles were also provided to girls during the programme.

Speaking at the event, Mohammed Ali Shabbir said the government had given top priority to child protection. He said every family must act responsibly to bring change in society.

Shabbir Ali called for expanding child safety awareness programmes to eliminate drug abuse. He said strict laws were being implemented to curb child marriages and teenage pregnancies.

Shabbir Ali stressed the need to spread awareness on these issues at all levels. He also assured that the government would provide facilities to children in care institutions.

He said such support would help them grow into responsible individuals in society.

Women Welfare Secretary Anita Ramachandran, District Collector Ashish Sangwan, Additional Collectors Victor and Madhu Mohan attended the programme. Municipal Chairperson Uma Rani and Library Chairman Maddichandra Kanth were also present.

Officials, child welfare staff, students and members of the public took part in the event.
