Hyderabad: The Indian Youth Congress (IYC) organised a Chhatron Ki Goonj student interaction in LB Nagar, Rangareddy district. Students highlighted examination irregularities and demanded exam reforms.
IYC president Uday Bhanu Chib and Telangana minister Ponnam Prabhakar attended the programme. Meanwhile, students spoke about paper leaks, examination uncertainty and other issues affecting the education system.
Students said repeated irregularities had created uncertainty for those preparing for competitive examinations. Further, they urged authorities to introduce measures that ensure transparency and accountability.
Exam reforms dominate Chhatron Ki Goonj interaction
The participants demanded comprehensive exam reforms. Additionally, they called for a fixed annual examination and recruitment calendar to bring certainty to students.
The Youth Congress also demanded the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. It held him responsible for the issues raised during the interaction.
Meanwhile, the organisation said the campaign, led by Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi, aims to take students’ concerns from campuses across the country to the national stage.
Finally, the Youth Congress appealed to students to join the Chhatron Ki Goonj campaign and support its demands for examination and recruitment reforms.
