Hyderabad: Former minister and BRS Deputy Floor Leader Harish Rao launched the Siddipet district anniversary celebrations by flagging off a 10K run at the Government Degree College grounds. The event marked ten years since the district’s formation.
A large number of young people, sportspersons and local residents joined the run. Their participation marked the start of the district’s decade celebrations with an enthusiastic public event.
The Siddipet district anniversary programme will run for three days in Siddipet. Organisers planned a series of events to commemorate the district’s formation and recall the progress made over the past decade.
Siddipet district anniversary programme features tributes and youth conference
As part of the celebrations, Harish Rao paid tributes at the Martyrs’ Memorial at 10 am. He also attended a student and youth conference at the Government Degree College at 11 am.
The organisers planned these programmes to mark the district’s ten-year journey and review its progress since formation. The celebrations began with the 10K run, which attracted young people, athletes and residents in large numbers.
