Hyderabad: The Telangana Minorities Residential Educational Institutions Society (TGMREIS) on Wednesday concluded a five-day career readiness bootcamp for 120 minority girl students in partnership with Launch Girls.
The programme targeted Intermediate second-year students from four TGMREIS junior colleges. It focused on preparing them for higher education, employment, entrepreneurship and leadership through activity-based learning.
Students received practical training in communication, leadership, teamwork, financial literacy, career planning, problem-solving, design thinking and presentation skills.
Career readiness bootcamp to expand across TGMREIS colleges
The pilot programme marks a key milestone for TGMREIS, which operates 98 girls’ residential junior colleges across Telangana. The society provides residential education to more than 15,520 minority girl students. Officials said the successful pilot would help expand similar programmes across the TGMREIS network.
Meanwhile, Launch Girls Chief Executive Officer Neha Sahu said the initiative equipped minority girls with the confidence, knowledge and practical skills needed for higher education, employment, entrepreneurship and leadership.
The host college principal described the bootcamp as a transformative learning experience. Participating students said the programme improved their confidence, communication, financial literacy, leadership and career planning skills.
Further, Launch Girls thanked Minority Welfare Minister Mohammed Azharuddin for supporting the initiative. The organisation also acknowledged the guidance of TGMREIS President Mohammed Faheemuddin Qureshi and Secretary B. Shafiullah, IFS, during the programme.
The organisers said the Telangana government, under Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and Minister Mohammed Azharuddin, continues to strengthen educational opportunities and career pathways for minority youth across the State.
