TG EAPCET counselling sees 19,325 students forgo allotted B.Tech seats

Hyderabad: TG EAPCET counselling entered its second phase after 19,325 students failed to report for the B.Tech seats allotted in the first phase, making those seats available for fresh allotment.

According to the counselling statistics, 79,891 candidates were allotted seats under the convener quota during the first phase of web counselling. However, only 60,566 students completed the reporting process before the deadline on July 14, while 19,325 candidates did not report and effectively gave up their allotted seats.

Officials said that apart from the unreported seats, 8,162 seats remained vacant after the first phase. As a result, a total of 27,487 seats will be available for allotment during the second phase of admissions.

TG EAPCET counselling schedule for second phase

The second phase of TG EAPCET counselling begins on Friday with processing fee payment and slot booking. Certificate verification has been scheduled for Saturday, while candidates can exercise their web options on July 18 and July 19.

The second phase is expected to provide another opportunity for candidates seeking admission to B.Tech programmes under the convener quota. Authorities have advised eligible students to complete all counselling formalities within the notified schedule to avoid missing their admission opportunity.
