Hyderabad: Telangana PCC president Mahesh Kumar Goud on Wednesday accused the Central government of commercialising education. He alleged that its policies had harmed the interests of students and youth.
He addressed the ‘Chatron Ki Goonj’ programme in Boinpally. Government Whip and programme convener Dr Balmoor Venkat also attended. MLA Sri Ganesh, Corporation Chairmen, former Union Minister Venugopal Chary, Congress frontal organisation leaders, students and youth participated in large numbers.

Addressing the gathering, Mahesh Kumar Goud alleged that repeated question paper leaks in recruitment and competitive examinations had put the future of students and job aspirants at risk.
Meanwhile, he criticised Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. According to Mahesh Kumar Goud, the Minister had not resigned despite repeated allegations over examination paper leaks. He further alleged that the Central government had failed to take action against him.
Further, Mahesh Kumar Goud said Rahul Gandhi had launched the campaign to build public pressure on the Centre over issues affecting students and youth. He urged students, youth and the public to join the movement.
