Hyderabad: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president Mahesh Kumar Goud on Thursday accused the BRS and BJP of spreading Political misinformation and making false allegations against the Congress leadership for political gain.
Addressing a meeting of the TPCC Vichar Vibhag (Intellectual Cell) at Gandhi Bhavan, Mahesh Kumar Goud alleged that both opposition parties had been running a sustained campaign of falsehoods against the Congress. Moreover, he said the party would continue to counter such campaigns with facts and ideology.
He highlighted the Vichar Vibhag’s contribution since the time of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. Further, he said the Intellectual Cell had strengthened democratic values and constitutional principles. It had also promoted progressive thinking within the party and society.

Mahesh Kumar Goud reiterated that the Congress remained committed to inclusive governance. Meanwhile, he said the party would work for the welfare and development of all citizens, irrespective of caste, creed, religion or region.
He also said the Congress would continue to stand with farmers, students, workers, traders and underprivileged sections. In addition, he reaffirmed the party’s commitment to protecting the interests of every section of society.
