Revanth, Bhatti pay tribute to Gaddar on death anniversary

Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka on Thursday paid tributes to Gaddar on his death anniversary. They recalled his contribution to Telangana’s social and cultural movements.

Revanth Reddy offered floral tributes to the People’s Poet’s portrait at his residence in Jubilee Hills. Moreover, he said Gaddar’s songs and cultural performances would remain etched in the hearts of the people of Telangana.

The Chief Minister said Gaddar used his songs to awaken social consciousness. Further, he described him as a lifelong champion of the rights of marginalised communities.

Revanth Reddy said Gaddar’s songs inspired people during the Telangana movement. He added that the People’s Poet transformed music into a powerful weapon for the people’s movement.

Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka also paid tributes to Gaddar. He said the People’s Poet infused new life into the Telangana movement through his songs. He added that Gaddar carried the aspiration for statehood to every village.

Meanwhile, Bhatti described him as the “Praja Yuddha Nouka” and said his absence would always be felt in Telangana society and the struggles of weaker sections. He said Gaddar’s ideals would continue to inspire future generations.
