Gaddar documentary poster released by Komatireddy Venkat Reddy

Hyderabad: Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy released the Gaddar documentary poster and praised the late balladeer’s role in people’s movements and struggles.

The minister described Gaddar as a symbol of public movements and a powerful voice for oppressed people. He said Gaddar had used his performances and songs to inspire crores of people to join movements.

Komatireddy said both he and Chief Minister Revanth Reddy had shared a special admiration for Gaddar. He also recalled that the state government had instituted the Gaddar Film Awards in his name.

Gaddar documentary poster highlights struggle

The minister said the Gaddar documentary poster represented an effort to bring the revolutionary singer’s life and struggle before the public. He appreciated the initiative to document several aspects of Gaddar’s life that remained unknown to younger generations.

According to Komatireddy, the documentary would highlight Gaddar’s journey through various movements. It would also present his fighting spirit and other significant aspects of his life to future generations.

Gaddar’s daughter Vennela had undertaken the documentary initiative. Komatireddy assured her that the government would extend full support and cooperation to the effort.

He said preserving Gaddar’s ideals and passing his spirit of struggle to coming generations remained a collective responsibility. The minister also stressed the importance of keeping Gaddar’s contribution to people’s movements alive for future generations.
