Hyderabad: An EAGLE Force ganja seizure led to the arrest of five people after police found six kilograms of ganja concealed inside an auto-rickshaw speaker box.
The State Task Force of EAGLE Force, Telangana, conducted the operation on August 17, 2026. Pet Basheerabad Police also took part in the operation after officials received credible information about the alleged smuggling.
Acting on the information, the teams intercepted an auto-rickshaw near GVK EMRI at Pet Basheerabad. The vehicle carried registration number TG13 T 2464.
Police apprehended five people who were allegedly involved in the illegal transportation and sale of ganja. During the search, officers discovered the contraband hidden inside the speaker sound box fitted in the auto-rickshaw.

The EAGLE Force ganja seizure yielded six kilograms of ganja valued at ₹3 lakh, according to the information released about the operation. The accused had allegedly used the speaker sound box as a concealed compartment to transport the ganja. Police seized the entire quantity from the speaker box during the operation.
In addition, the enforcement teams seized the auto-rickshaw that had allegedly been used to transport the contraband. The operation involved coordination between the EAGLE Force State Task Force and Pet Basheerabad Police.
The seizure exposed the use of an auto-rickshaw speaker box as a hiding place for transporting ganja in Hyderabad. Police apprehended all five people during the interception near GVK EMRI.
