Hyderabad: The Telangana government sanctioned ₹25 lakh for the construction of classrooms at the Gopalapuram school in Tirumalayapalem mandal of Khammam district after Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy responded to a newspaper report highlighting the dilapidated condition of the school building.
The Chief Minister took note of the report published in *Eenadu* and directed Khammam Collector T.S. Divakar to immediately visit the school and sanction the required funds for improving infrastructure. Meanwhile, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister N. Sridhar spoke with teacher Nimmathota Indira to assess the conditions at the school.
Gopalapuram school to get new classrooms
Acting on the Chief Minister’s directions, Collector Divakar visited the Gopalapuram school on Thursday. Further, he appreciated teacher Nimmathota Indira for taking the initiative to highlight the school’s infrastructure needs.
The Collector announced a grant of ₹25 lakh for the construction of new classrooms. Thereafter, the district administration sanctioned the funds for the project.
