Hyderabad: Minister G Vivek Venkataswamy launched an Open Box initiative in Chennur to address public grievances and requests directly.
The Minister for Employment, Training and Factories and Mines & Geology launched the initiative on Wednesday. Officials set up the Open Box to allow residents to submit complaints and requests.
Vivek said he would personally open the box and examine the letters received from the public. He also promised to take steps to address the issues raised through the submissions.
According to the Minister, the initiative aims to promote transparent governance and corruption-free administration. He described it as the first initiative of its kind in Telangana.
Vivek said the Open Box initiative would create a direct link between residents and the government. The system will allow people to communicate their concerns without relying on intermediaries.
The Minister later laid the foundation stone for development works at Kotapalli High School. The project will cost ₹50 lakh and will use funds provided through corporate social responsibility.
Open Box initiative expands public services in Chennur
Later, Vivek and Peddapalli MP Vamsi Krishna inaugurated a free coaching centre in Chennur. The centre will help candidates preparing for Sub-Inspector and constable recruitment examinations.
The facility has been named after former Union Minister Kaka Venkataswamy. It will provide coaching support to aspirants preparing for recruitment examinations.
The Open Box initiative forms part of Vivek’s efforts to create a direct channel for public grievances. Residents can use the facility to submit requests and complaints for the Minister’s consideration.
Vivek said the initiative would strengthen transparency in administration. He also emphasised the need to address public concerns through a direct and accessible mechanism.
