Hyderabad: Telangana Congress chief Mahesh Kumar Goud said Congress rule Centre would return, expressing confidence that the party would come back to power in national elections.
Addressing the media on Wednesday, he accused the BJP of dividing the country along caste and religious lines. Moreover, he said such politics created unrest across the nation.
Backing Rahul Gandhi, he said people were looking towards Congress leadership amid growing concerns. He added that the party offered an alternative vision.
Congress rule Centre claim targets BJP
Mahesh Kumar Goud said the BJP’s approach weakened social harmony. However, he said Congress aimed to unite people across communities.
He said the Congress rule Centre remained possible whenever elections were held. Therefore, he expressed confidence in the party’s national prospects.
He also criticised former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao. He alleged that the BRS leader failed to respond to questions raised by his daughter K. Kavitha.
Mahesh Kumar Goud said the opposition must answer public concerns. Meanwhile, he reiterated that Congress would continue raising key issues.
