Hyderabad: Tourism and Culture Minister Jupally Krishna Rao said the Seva Dal training camp played a key role in strengthening discipline and service values among party workers.
He made the remarks after attending the ‘Samrth’ training camp held at Exhibition Grounds in Hyderabad under the leadership of the Congress Seva Dal.
He said Seva Dal volunteers had remained at the forefront of public service from the freedom struggle era to the present. Moreover, he said they acted as a bridge in taking party principles to the people.
He said such initiatives helped build confidence among workers. As a result, they contributed to strengthening the party structure.
Seva Dal training camp highlights service values
Jupally Krishna Rao said the current political environment reflected a shift towards individualism. He observed that the mindset of “I and mine” was increasing, while the spirit of “we and ours” was declining.
He said politics was increasingly driven by financial interests. However, the spirit of public service was weakening over time.
He said values continued in society due to efforts of selfless leaders and Seva Dal volunteers. Therefore, he urged workers to uphold these principles.
Seva Dal training camp urges response to propaganda
The Minister said workers must prepare to counter misinformation on social media. In particular, he stressed the need to respond to false propaganda by opponents.
He said he would ensure recognition for Seva Dal workers who contributed actively. Additionally, he promised to provide opportunities in nominated positions to dedicated workers.
He said such steps would strengthen organisational commitment. Ultimately, he called on workers to continue serving people with dedication.
