Hyderabad: Kachiguda Police rescue a 33-year-old man who attempted suicide on railway tracks near Kachiguda Railway Station in Hyderabad.
Police received a Dial 100 alert through Chaderghat Police Station at around 11 pm on May 14 regarding a man lying on the railway tracks.
Officials said police personnel rushed to the spot immediately after receiving the information.
They found the man lying on the tracks while the Vande Bharat Express train was approaching.

Police personnel acted quickly and pulled the man away from the tracks before the train reached the spot.
During enquiry, police identified the man as Madhav, a native of Bidar in Karnataka.
He was currently staying with his mother and sister in Malakpet.
Police said Madhav became depressed after a domestic argument with his sister.
He allegedly consumed alcohol and later went to the railway tracks intending to end his life.
However, officials said he became frightened after reaching the tracks and could not move properly because of intoxication.
He then dialled 100 and sought help from police.
After the rescue, Kachiguda Police handed him over to the Government Railway Police for counselling and further assistance.
