Hyderabad: The Telangana High Court gave the BRS Yuva Sangrama Sadassu the green signal and permitted the party to hold the youth conference at Saroornagar Stadium on Saturday. The court imposed specified conditions for the event.
The BRS applied for permission on June 30. However, the police rejected the request after citing law and order concerns and intelligence inputs. The party’s legal cell then challenged the decision before the High Court. It alleged that the Congress government had deliberately obstructed the programme.
After hearing both sides, the High Court permitted the conference with certain conditions.
BRS Yuva Sangrama Sadassu to focus on youth issues
The conference aims to highlight the Congress government’s alleged failure to fulfil promises made under its Youth Declaration. These include the Mega DSC recruitment drive. They also include filling government job vacancies and providing unemployment allowances.
Meanwhile, the venue carries political significance. The Congress unveiled its Youth Declaration at the same Saroornagar Stadium before the Assembly elections. Priyanka Gandhi attended that programme.
Further, BRS working president K T Rama Rao is scheduled to address the gathering. He will outline the party’s future course on youth and employment issues.
Following the High Court’s order, BRS leaders appealed to students and unemployed youth across Telangana to attend the conference in large numbers. Additionally, they said the court’s decision had boosted the morale of party workers.
