Unemployed youth stage protest seeking fresh police recruitment notification

Hyderabad: Unemployed youth staged a flash protest at Indira Park Junction in Hyderabad on Sunday, demanding a fresh Police recruitment notification for 19,000 vacancies instead of the proposed recruitment for 7,437 posts.

The protesters raised slogans against the State government and alleged that delays in issuing the notification had forced thousands of aspirants to cross the prescribed age limit, making them ineligible for recruitment.

Police recruitment notification demands include higher age limit

The protesters demanded that the government increase the maximum age limit for constable posts to 36 years and for Sub-Inspector posts to 38 years in the recruitment notification.

They also urged the government to reduce the application fee immediately. Furthermore, they warned that they would intensify their agitation if the government failed to address their demands.
