Foreign nationals reporting rule enforced under new Act in Telangana

Hyderabad: Foreign nationals reporting rule came into force under the Immigration and Foreigners Act, 2025, requiring institutions and accommodation providers to submit details within 24 hours.

Authorities directed hotels, hostels, guest houses, and house owners to upload foreigner details in Form III through the designated online portal. Hospitals and medical institutions offering stay facilities must also follow the same requirement for patients and attendants.

The rule requires all establishments to maintain these records for at least one year. Officials said the measure aims to strengthen monitoring and ensure compliance with legal provisions.

Educational institutions must follow similar procedures. Schools, colleges, and other establishments admitting foreign nationals must submit details in Form II within 24 hours of admission through the online system.

Police directed Deputy Commissioners of Police (Law and Order) in Hyderabad to conduct awareness programmes. These initiatives aim to inform accommodation providers, hospitals, and educational institutions about the requirements.

Authorities advised all concerned managements to comply strictly with the provisions. They warned that violations would attract legal action under the Act.
